I adapted a 'kissing' scene from Drift. I didn't really have much time for writing at the moment and it gave me a chance to analyse the scene in the story in more depth. Although, I really wanted to win... I knew I wouldn't this time. The annoying this was afterwards when we all revealed whoese writing was whoese, almost eveyone said they almost voted for mine. Never mine, there is always next time.
The three that won were excellent. I shan't say which I voted for but two of them are in the top three. Perhaps I have an eye for talent.
This is the first time that the piece I read hasn't come first place. I take that as a compliment too, as I feel a well written piece is more easily appreciated and realised if it is read well.
